sometimes, he wanted it.
(392 words) / (characters: beast boy)
the beast within is unwelcome. or is it?

now i know that some (read: most... if not, all) of my flist won't be familiar with this fandom (what?! i love teen titans) but i used to watch this show all the time and all the characters have such potential. i don't know, my cousin (stupid boys) got me really stuck on all this super hero stuff (i've started reading comics, oh no!) hah, go figure. and of course, this is completely based off of this episode (the beast within) and if you want to see the rest of it i think it should be in the 'related videos' part.

welcome to ficbits!
(aka: i got the urge to write but it slightly sucks, and i never posted it (becausei've got nowhere but here to post it) but here goes, enjoy!)

(hope burns brightly beneath us all even if sometimes we're too blind to see it)

1. Danny trips over his own words, fingers and feet. He was more often than not a mess at sound check (always got it right at the show) and once or twice he may or may not have left his capo on during a song that didn't require it.

And so, when it happened to Danny, it was completely (un)expected.

And it had to be me, Danny mused later.

It could have been Harry. Harry who didn't need his eyes as he was perched safely atop a secured seat and drum set. Harry, who usually did not share in the creative thought process of the building blocks of an album. True, he did give his input from time to time but Harry just loved playing and would play all the same. (After all, Harry was not a wake-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night-and-scribble-lyrics-in-your-journal kind of guy.)

It could have been Tom, who possessed (10+ number 1's and counting) the type of skill and passion that gathered him the title of "song writer" in the band. He, who knew his way so wisely around both a 6 string guitar and a grand piano, was brilliantly beyond his years in both lyrical and numerical ways (Danny later swore in an interview that Tom often whispered and snored in 4/4 timed beats during his sleep.) that Tom hadn't a single use for his eyes.

It could have been Dougie who had grown so fond of each and every one of the boys in the past few years that he recognized which of them was entering his home without turning his head away from the television. Everything about Dougie was so (ab)normal to Danny but never in the way he didn't appreciate it. Dougie was so vulgar in his words (and suggestions, and noises, and gestures) and yet, so uncharacteristically approachable.

But nope, Danny sighed, it was me.

oh noez, blind danny! )
